Atlantic View Trail

7km
Open year round.
Take Hwy#207, east of Dartmouth to Lawrencetown Provincial Park.  Park in beach parking lot.  The Trailhead and parking area are in the middle of the trail.  Proceed on the boardwalk in either direction.
This trail is the start of the Trans Canada Trail and it travels along an abandoned rail line from the Three Fathom Harbour Road to the end of the Salt Marsh Trail. This trail is for walking, cycling and x-country skiing only. It runs along the coast and is a major migratory feeding ground for many sea birds such as seagulls, ducks, geese and piping plovers. Please stay on the trail and avoid the nesting areas located along the shore and in the sand dunes. Wildlife such as fox and muskrats are abundant.  On occassion you might see a seal.
